DUE DILIGENCE PROCESS
CNaught builds diversified portfolios that include a mix of reduction and removal projects, both nature-based and technology-based.
Every project must be verified and listed under a registry (eg. Gold Standard, Verra, Puro.Earth, etc) and must pass our internal seven-step due diligence process.
We review project additionality, baseline and quantification methodology, permanence and reversal risk, leakage, co-benefits, and developer track record. CNaught is also one of the only providers to incorporate all four major rating agencies (BeZero, Calyx Global, Renoster, and Sylvera) in our review process.

PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
Projects must meet the following criteria to be considered for our portfolios.

Public project listing with Verra, Gold Standard, ACR, CAR, Puro.earth, Isometric or an equivalent registry.
✓
Credits already issued, or a credible issuance timeline with verification underway. Include vintages available.
✓
Completed VVB reports, monitoring reports, and the applied methodology documentation.
✓
Existing BeZero, Calyx Global, Renoster, or Sylvera ratings accelerate review.
✓
Enough supply to serve portfolio allocations over time, with indicative pricing and delivery terms.
✓
Documented credit ownership, community and land-tenure safeguards, and any co-benefit certifications.
